Use organic ingredients as much as possible, especially when using animal produce

500g organic grass-fed minced beef

1 1/2 cups organic beef broth, if you don’t make your own, pick up some from your local health food store

1/4 cup full fat organic grass-fed cream

2 large organic carrots

1 cup organic mushrooms, chopped

1 organic onion

2 large-sized organic sweet potatoes

3/4-1 cup organic grass-fed cheddar cheese

1 1/2 tbsp fresh rosemary

1 1/2 tbsp fresh thyme

1/4 cup organic tomato paste (make sure that the only ingredient is tomato)

100g organic grass-fed butter

1 tbsp virgin coconut oil

1) Preheat the oven to 190 (375 Fahrenheit). Chop the potatoes in half and bake for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until soft. Once cooked, let cool slightly before removing the skin. Place the potatoes into a bowl, along with the butter and cream, and mash until smooth. Alternatively you could use an electric mixer

Tip: don’t discard the potato skins, put them back in the oven and cook until crispy, they make delicious chips!

2) Heat coconut oil in a large pan. Add the onions, garlic, mushrooms and carrots. Cook until onions are clear and slightly brown

3) Add the beef, breaking it up as it cooks so that the mixture is even. Mix through with the rest of the ingredients. This will take around 10 minutes

4) Add the herbs, tomato paste and broth. Season to your desire. Simmer for 10-15 minutes so that mixture reduces a little

5) Spread the meat mixture into a baking dish with the potatoes spread evenly on top. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top and bake for 30 minutes, or until cheese is slightly brown
