Sweet Potato Bread (Paleo)

This bread almost taste like a treat because of the sweetness from the sweet potatoes. It is both gluten and dairy free which will suit those with sensitivities. Enjoy it as it is or topped with avocado, tomatoes or pastured butter.

Sweet Potato Bread (Paleo)


1 1/2 cup organic sweet potato. Measured after being baked and mashed. You will need about 1 medium sweet potato

3/4 cup organic blanched almond flour

1/4 cup organic coconut flour

1/4 cup organic virgin/ extra virgin coconut oil

1 tsp unrefined sea salt

1/2 tsp organic ground cinnamon

1/2 organic ground nutmeg

1/2 tsp organic ground ginger

1 tsp organic baking soda

1 tsp organic baking powder

4 organic eggs from pastured hens

1 tbsp water


1) Preheat oven to 160 °C.  Grease a bread tin with coconut oil

2) The potatoes will need to be baked whole in the oven for about 1 hour, cut them in half for a shorter cooking time. Once soft, remove the skin (fry it in coconut oil to make crunchy chips) and mash

3) Add the whisked eggs, mix well, followed buy the rest of the ingredients. The texture will be like a cake batter, not too runny but not too thick either

4) Pour the mixture into the bread tin and bake for about 1 hour. It will be ready when it browns on top and a fork comes out lean when poked through the middle
