These are great for on the run. The are made with nutrient rich ingredients which will keep you satisfied until your next meal. They are also yummy crumbled over some natural yoghurt. The nuts in this recipe have been activated- soaked and dehydrated. This is so that the mineral binding substance, phytic acid, is removed. For more information on phytic acid see this blog.  You can purcjase activated nuts or you can make them yourself. It is really simple- soak them overnight, put them on a tray and into the oven at the lowest temperature 48-54 (120-130F) for about 24 hours or until crunchy. Alternatively if you have a dehydrator, use this!


1 cup organic almonds (you could also use hazelnuts)Goji Kisses

1/2 cup organic sunflower seeds

1 cup organic toasted coconut flakes

1 1/4 cup organic dried goji berries

2 tsp organic ground cinnamon

1 tsp organic vanilla bean powder

1/4 tsp himalayan salt

75ml (5 tbsp) organic virgin coconut oil


1) Using a food processor, simply blend all of the ingredients together, adding the coconut oil last, until it resembles a dough

2) Roll into balls and refrigerate.


Note: because these are made with coconut oil they will soften out of the fridge. I actually like eating them at room temperature. If you want to crumble them over yoghurt they will need to be soft.
