CHOCOLATE SLICE

I made this slice for Jasper’s first birthday party and it was loved by all. It is sweetened with dried goji and mulberries making it a very healthy treat. If you’d prefer it to be a little sweeter add 1-2 tablespoons of organic raw honey, B grade maple syrup or brown rice syrup.

Ingredients Chocolate Slice

2 cups organic hazelnut meal. I make my own by soaking the nuts overnight and dehydrating them in the oven at 48-54°C (120-130F) for 1 1/2 to 2 days. Then simply use a food processor to make a flour.

2 cups of either organic desiccated coconut or coconut flakes, I like the toasted flakes

3/4 cup organic cacao powder

80g organic cacao butter

1/4 tsp organic ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp himalayan salt

1/2 cup organic dried mulberries

1/2 cup organic dried goji berries

Method

1) Place all of the ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth

2) Press the mixture into a lined container, place in the fridge for at least one hour to set

3) Cut into squares and serve. Keep in the fridge, on hot days this will get quite soft
